Frogner Park
With a stroll through Frogner Park, I admire all the statues carved between 1920 and 1943 by Gustav Vigeland. It’s actually the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist!
As I walk among the naked statues, I appreciate the vivid portrait of family life. I pass crying babies, dads rearing and playing with children, grandmothers conversing... We are a long way from the antique sculptures of men with chiseled abs and voluptuous women flirting with gods.
I can’t wait to spend more time here in the spring with hopefully more sunshine!
